21.-23.5. 2010 workshops with invited teacher: Eric Jeurissen (NL)

Eric Jeurisen has over 20 years of experience in Teaching Argentine Tango and is particularly known for his ability to explain movements with simple and clear methods. Studied dance education at the Rotterdam conservatory. He began dancing the tango in 1987, inspired by his tango father Pepito Avellaneda. He is the founder of El Corte, the legendary dance studio in Nijmegen/Netherlands where people from all over the world meet to learn and to dance. www.elcorte.com. Furthermore, Eric travels the world giving workshops in many countries (on regular base in Cape Town, London, NYC). So we have to plan his time in Prague almost a year ahead! These workshops are not to be missed.

Farewell concert of Sin Rumbo (and other news)

this year has started pretty sharp, as regards tango, and many interesting events and seminars are ahead of us:

This Saturday 23.1. - the last concert of Sin Rumbo with the pianist, composer, founder and leader of the group - Julian Teubal at 20h (the whole program with other artists starts at 5pm) in the hotel Theatrino, Bořivojova 53, Praha 3, detailed programme on http://caminito.cz/events.

10 years of tango in Prague, part I - already this weekend

Good evening/mornirng/afternoon!

What do we have for you for this weekend? We have been trying to penetrate with tango into Prague public along with the others for 10 years now so we will celebrate a bit (more on www.caminito.cz/events):

Saturday, 9th Jan - workshops with Luciano & Alejandra (www.caminito.cz/workshops, for info and registration contact Radka: 775-072-352, radka@caminito.cz ), birthday party at 8pm, club Avion (Tusarova 58, Prague 7)
Subday, 10th Jan - workshops with Luciano & Alejandra (cont.), special milonga in hotel Theatrino (Bořivojova 53, Prague 3), 7pm-0am, Alejandro Ziegler quartet live (ARG), DJ Petr
other events scheduled for May, August, Sept/Oct but more about that later...

New winter courses start from next Monday (11th Jan). Still some space in the courses for beginners and advanced (lower intermediate courses are completely full), see www.caminito.cz/courses.

For those who have not seen it yet (or would like to see it again) the Czech TV decided to put on the documentary about tango in Prague again: CT1 10th Jan at 1:10am (VPS 111010110) or CT2 10th Jan at 11:10am (VPS 210011110).

Although a little later than we hoped but finally we're sending you the info about the 2nd weekend in Jan when we organize the first part of the 10 years of tango in Prague celebrations.

Slightly bloody scenes from the Nosferatu's merry-making, which was discovered by no less than 180 "people" - thousands thanks to all, can be found in the gallery. Regarding the tango events in town check the calendar (or other organizers' pages).
